Every nation had to make difficult decisions to protect its citizens and save its economy. Institutions, including education, suffered greatly. The Pandemic fundamentally altered the educational experience worldwide due to the shift to and from online learning (Atwell et al., 2021). School counselors became the primary intermediary between teachers, parents, administrators, and students. School counselors had to address many concerns and develop best practices in advocating for students, especially students with Social-emotional learning (SEL) needs, to establish an environment for students to flourish by setting an academic tone and designing effective school counseling programs to improve student outcomes.
